How to Meditate and find the present moment.
How To Meditate and find your body.
To meditate means to become aware of your physical body, your emotions, attitudes, and spiritual connection. Becoming aware of your physical body means sensing your feet on the ground, your relaxed muscles and tight muscles, your breath, your posture, your lightness or heaviness, how your heart feels, how you feel inside your body. Often when we are thinking of the past or future, we forget that we even have a body. Have you ever eaten a meal and wondered where it went? Have you ever gone somewhere or walked somewhere and wondered how you got there? I admit, I have done this. I was accused of not being grounded, centered in my body and spent thirty years focusing how to be in my body.
You may laugh about my admitting not being in my body, but most of my clients are not in their bodies. Now I see energy, I see this. One client was truthful when she told me she was energetically standing outside of my office. I kid you not. Anyone who has had abuse, learns how to not be so hurt by leaving their body. Learning how to meditate and live in our bodies is major for most of us. Really.
Meditate and find your emotions.
To meditate means to slow down, become aware, pay attention to your body and your surroundings in the present moment. When you slow down and focus on your body, you will feel emotions of happiness, peace, love, fear, anger, sadness. Often people numb these emotions by being adrenalized with speeding, I know this one, how about you?Another technique of numbing is dare devil sports to adrenalize. Or another numbing device is addiction to work, shopping, sex, drugs, alcohol, smoking, anything done excessively out of balance not to feel emotions. I think the reason for all the violent movies is for people who wish to un numb and feel something.
Meditate and find your attitudes.
When you slow down and become aware and ask, why am I feeling fear, or sadness, or anger, then you will get an answer about feeling unsafe, unloved, uncared for, not trusting, not supported, not heard etc. When you are aware of your attitudes, then you have a choice to change them. For this reason, to meditate is an important skill.
Meditate and find God.
When you are quiet, relaxed, open and aware of energy, you are able to sense subtle energy. My movie, Embracing the Miraculous, 6 Guided Meditations to Find God, shows you how to meditate to sense God. You ask to sense God, using any name you wish for God. Then you wait and notice a change happen in your body. In my movie I help you sense energy heaven to earth, head to feet and earth to heaven, feet to your head. I also help you to see God, which in my experience, was infinite light radiating from my heart and filling my entire being. I also help you to feel God’s unconditional love while you are sensing and seeing the Universal Love energy.
I heard from Ram Dass, that to meditate was the key to bliss. I agree, it is the key to knowing that we are the essence of God, we are God, we are infinite unconditional love in the process of removing the clouds of fear. I meditate daily and have for 35 years. It is good to meditate the same time each day. For myself, God awakens me with a flow of energy and a voice, I love you Deepika, and all I see is light. I bask in the light and this subtle, yet immense unconditional love. When I meditate, I am empty, then I ask how I am to serve God and what I am to learn that day. There will be another energy surge and a voice answering.
See my eBook, Living the Magic of Meditation, How to Meditate for several guided meditation techniques.
I did traditional meditation, watching my breathe, emotions, thoughts, and sensations for 35 years. The traditional meditation techniques taught me who I was, and how to be one with other people and their diseases. This has helped me enormously as a healer. But my ebook on how to meditate, and my movie, Embracing the Miraculous, 6 Guided Meditations to Find God, both have guided meditations that I love doing and I hope that you will love doing. Since I hated to meditate for 35 years.
I decided that this was unnecessary and to write a book and a movie on how to meditate and feel blissful and loving.
